Our Contribution

At CATRE, we operate at the intersection of research, advocacy,
prevention, and community empowerment to address human trafficking in Uganda and the broader region. Our initiatives are grounded in data, guided by the lived experiences of survivors, and built to create measurable, lasting impact.

Research

We conduct rigorous, survivor-informed research to generate evidence on the
root causes, patterns, and the consequences of human trafficking.

Prevention Program

We design and implement community-based prevention strategies that raise awareness, reduce vulnerability, and address the structural drivers of trafficking.

Capacity Building

We strengthen the capacity of frontline actors, including social workers, community leaders, and survivor-serving agencies to prevent & respond to human trafficking.

Survivor Support Services

Our survivor-centered programs focus on healing, reintegration, empowerment and livelihood opportunities while creating spaces for peer support and survivor leadership.

Advocacy

Raising awareness, shaping policy, working with stake holders and amplifying survivor voices for systemic change. We work to strengthen local systems for coordinated, effective action.
