Mr. Neal Angel is the President and CEO of the Financial Learning Center, where he leads
initiatives focused on corporate benefits, financial literacy, and long-term financial wellness for
employees and organizations. With over three decades of leadership experience, Mr. Angel has
helped individuals and institutions build strong financial foundations through tax-efficient
strategies, benefits optimization, and compliance-focused training. His work is nationally
recognized, including certification as a recertification provider by the Society for Human
Resource Management (SHRM).
Mr. Angel holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Care Administration
from Appalachian State University, a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Columbia International
University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Management from
Appalachian State University. His academic background reflects a unique integration of business
acumen and ethical leadership, qualities that inform his values-driven, results-oriented approach.
As a board member of the Center on Anti-Trafficking Research and Empowerment (CATRE),
Mr. Angel contributes invaluable expertise in organizational development, financial
sustainability, and strategic planning. His leadership directly supports CATRE’s mission to
implement survivor-centered, culturally grounded, and trauma-informed responses to human
trafficking in Uganda. Specifically, Mr. Angel’s strengths align with CATRE’s strategic goals to
build a sustainable fundraising model, ensure regulatory compliance, and establish strong
institutional governance through annual audits and effective resource management.
In addition, Mr. Angel’s collaborative leadership style complements CATRE’s commitment to
stakeholder engagement. He has cultivated partnerships across sectors, including nonprofits,
businesses, and government agencies, and brings this experience to support CATRE’s advocacy,
policy engagement, and community-based programming.
