Mr. Kimbowa is a seasoned tourism executive, entrepreneur, and educator with over 20 years of
experience in travel, hospitality, and logistics across East and West Africa. He is the Founder and
Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacle Africa – Travel and Logistics, an exceptional logistics and
leisure company that has been creating magical service experiences at the heart of Africa since
2008. With operations in 11 countries including Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic
Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Niger, Senegal, Chad, Ghana, Gabon, and Mauritania, Pinnacle
Africa demonstrates a unique capacity for cross-border coordination and client-focused service
delivery.
Under Pinnacle Africa, Mr. Kimbowa has delivered specialized logistics and safari services to a
distinguished clientele, including individual travelers, the United Nations, U.S. government
officials, and other international partners. Through his leadership, the company has embraced
corporate social responsibility by supporting initiatives that promote environmental
sustainability, youth employment and skills development, and women’s economic
empowerment, particularly through partnerships with community-based tourism initiatives and
vocational programs.
He is also the proprietor of Buffalo Safaris Lodge, a renowned eco-tourism destination located in
Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park, where conservation, cultural heritage, and responsible
tourism are core values. Mr. Kimbowa holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Tourism
and Hospitality Management from Makerere University. In the early years of his career, he
served as a Lecturer of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Makerere University, mentoring
students, supervising research and shaping the future of Uganda’s tourism and hospitality
workforce.

commitment to inclusive and sustainable development. His efforts to leverage business as a
platform for social transformation directly support CATRE’s mission to deliver trauma-
informed, community-rooted responses to human trafficking, and to build systems that uphold
dignity, justice, gender equity, and opportunity for youth and marginalized populations in
Uganda and across Africa.
