Strengthening Systems for a Survivor-Centered Response

At CATRE, we believe that ending human trafficking requires more than awareness. It demands strong, coordinated systems that can prevent exploitation, protect the vulnerable, and support survivors effectively.

Our capacity building strategy focuses on equipping frontline actors, including social workers, community leaders, teachers, health workers, and survivor-serving agencies, with the knowledge, tools, and skills needed to respond to trafficking in a trauma-informed and context-specific manner.

What We Do:

Training & Workshops:

We design and deliver interactive trainings on human trafficking prevention, trauma-informed care, survivor protection, referral pathways, and ethical engagement.

Technical Assistance:

We provide on-site mentorship, coaching, and resources to strengthen local systems and organizational responses to trafficking.

Resource Development:

CATRE creates and shares culturally relevant manuals, toolkits, and guidance documents to support sustainable learning and institutional capacity.

Network Building:

We convene cross-sector stakeholders to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and joint action, linking communities, government agencies, and NGOs.

 Our Priorities:
  • Promoting survivor-centered, trauma-informed practices
  • Enhancing the responsiveness of local service providers
  • Strengthening referral and protection systems
  • Supporting the growth of grassroots and survivor-led organizations

Through this strategy, CATRE is helping to build a national movement of informed, capable, and connected actors who are equipped to drive long-term change in the fight against trafficking.
