Board Member

Dr. Fred Nalugoda is an epidemiologist and public health expert with over 25 years of experience in HIV prevention, care, and research. He holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Makerere University and a Master of Health Science from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

He currently serves as a Board Member and Senior Research Scientist at the Rakai Health Sciences Program (RHSP) and is a founding member of the Africa Medical and Behavioral Sciences Organization (AMBSO). Over the course of his career, he has led and supported major research initiatives in HIV, adolescent health, gender-based violence, and community health systems.

Dr. Nalugoda has also played a key role in research mentorship, grant development, and scientific capacity building in Uganda and beyond. At CATRE, he brings strong expertise in epidemiology, research leadership, and public health systems.

 

We are a  team  of  dedicated  professionals committed to ending human trafficking in Uganda through prevention, capacity building, rigorous evidence-based research, survivor-led community empowerment, and strategic policy advocacy.
